How safe is my investments?

This is an options trading fund, and like all investments, it carries inherent risks. While past performance is no guarantee of future results, we are committed to transparency in sharing our historical performance, including details of past drawdowns and losses.

As of Aug 3, 2025, we have experienced a total of 21 losing days, with the largest single-day loss being 0.86% of the account—less than 1%. Although we have not yet encountered a losing week, it is important to note that they will occur as part of normal market fluctuations. This is not a risk free investment. Please read disclosures!

What do We trade?

Our primary focus is on trading call and put options on the QQQ Index. (this can change)

How do we lose money?

We lose money when we deviate from our established rules or become entangled in market unpredictability. Losing money on trades is very common, but our goal is to end every trading day with profits. While our strategies and guidelines are designed to mitigate these risks, losses are sometimes inevitable. The quicker we take our losses and move onto the next trade the better.

Our trading strategy is governed by a comprehensive set of rules. The degree to which these rules are fulfilled directly influences our willingness to assume risk and our confidence in the potential success of a trade. A trade that meets all our criteria is classified as an A+ trade. Ideally, we aim for every trade to satisfy all our rules; however, this scenario is less common than desired. When a trade aligns with most, but not all, of our criteria, we proceed with caution, opting to engage with fewer contracts than we would in the case of an A+ trade. Our approach to trading is predominantly discretionary, allowing us to exercise judgment and control over each decision. This method enables us to maintain objectivity in day trading, offering a balanced blend of hands-on management and adherence to a systematic framework.

What is the Lock-up period?

A lock-up period is a window of time in which investors of a hedge fund or other closely-held investment vehicle are not allowed to redeem or sell shares. With RENTDUE Capital, each quarter you will be able to make a withdraw of all your funds. If you want to close out your account you may do so at anytime. (subject to change)

How is my investment taxed?
RENTDUE is an LLC. Investors are considered partners. Pass-through entities like partnerships and most LLCs do not pay taxes at the entity level. Instead, income, losses, and deductions are passed through to individual partners or members.

The partner or member reports their share of the income on their personal tax return, based on the information provided on the K-1.

The income is taxed at the individual's ordinary income tax rate, unless it qualifies for capital gains or other special tax treatment (e.g., rental income or qualified business income). The income reported on a K-1 must be reported regardless of whether you received a cash distribution. You are taxed on your share of the partnership's or corporation’s income, not on the amount of cash you receive.

Losses reported on a K-1 may be subject to certain limitations, such as passive activity loss rules, and may not be immediately deductible.

Is this too good to be true, a Ponzi scheme or like Bernie Madoff?

RENTDUE Capital is not a scam. Nor are we going to run off with you money. Can we? Yes!

While our track record speaks for itself, it's important to remember that all investments carry risk. Never invest money you can't afford to lose.

"Risk is what you don't see because it cannot be predicted."

At RENTDUE Capital, we strive to limit exposure and take daily profits. Our impressive returns stem from the strategic use of options, leveraging them to achieve significantly higher returns. We are here to make money, not steal.

That said:

  • You can withdraw at any time
  • You can see your balance weekly
  • You can close your account with one form

We’ve had zero losing weeks, and 193 active investor accounts continue to trust us—but again, if you can’t sleep at night, don’t invest.

Have you Lost other peoples money before?

Yes, I was involved in an FX fund during the 2008 financial crash. We lost money—a lot. I personally lost more than anyone. The recovery efforts dragged on until 2011.

One of the people tried the whole blackmail thing on the internet and threats. They did get their money back, but they’d taken funds from others without proper disclosure and then tried to blackmail us for more. We refused. He flipped the story. But here’s what matters:

There was no fraud. We traded, we lost. That’s investing.

The experience taught me some hard lessons:

  • Don’t trade FX – 100:1 leverage eventually kills your account.
  • Keep money and brokerage in the U.S. – All RENTDUE assets are at Interactive Brokers.
  • Avoid deep drawdowns – If you don’t dig a hole, you don’t need a miracle to climb out.
  • Get rid of bad investors.

RENTDUE was born from those lessons. Since launching in 2023:

  • Zero losing weeks
  • Fully transparent weekly reports
  • No AI, no margin, no over leverage

All strategy and risk disclosures are in the PPM and Operating Agreement

We don’t promise returns or guarantee funds. What we do offer is transparent performance, clear strategy, and real risk management. If you’re skeptical, that’s healthy—just review our documents and results for yourself.

What does it mean that RENTDUE Capital is a private fund?

RENTDUE is a private investment fund, not a public one. That means Shane and I (Jace) make the decisions—no committees, no boards, no investor votes. If that makes you uncomfortable, this fund may not be the right fit. We're happy to answer questions within reason, but at the end of the day, we run the strategy and choose what information to disclose.

You’ll get:

  • Weekly updates via the investor portal
  • Monthly statement of balance statements (upon request)
  • Quarterly performance summaries

That’s the structure. If you want something more custom or don’t like how we operate, that’s totally fine—don’t invest or simply close your account. Withdrawals are fast and easy.

Why don’t you show more DETAILS on Traders or the Traders?

We get this question from people who want to “see behind the curtain" or think we should operate a different way.

Here’s the straight answer: We protect our trades, our traders, and our strategy at all costs.

This isn’t a public fund, and it’s not a teaching platform. You won’t see:

  • Screenshots of active trades
  • Real-time account balance
  • Identity or personal details of any trader
  • Our entry/exit rules, indicators, or trade rationale

That’s by design. This strategy is proprietary, and it works because it’s focused, isolated, and protected. Every edge we have comes from our discipline and data. If we start leaking it, we lose the edge.

Also—and this is key—we protect the psychology of our traders.

They do not interact with investors. They don’t see account flows. They aren’t influenced by anyone’s opinion or pressure. Their only job is to trade. My job is to keep them in that space—free from distraction, emotion, or external input.

If you want deep transparency into a trader’s life, trades, or mindset—this isn’t the place. If you want results, liquidity, and clear performance tracking, you’ll get:

  • Weekly updated balances
  • Monthly summary statements
  • Quarterly performance recaps
  • Access to our full track record since inception

We are transparent with performance—but not exposure. And the better our returns get, the more protective we’ll be. If that bothers you, no hard feelings—don’t invest or simply close your account. The system works, and we’re going to keep it that way.
